Dr. Samuel Beck, one of our postdocs, has become a PI

After years of spearheading innovative studies into the roles of CpG islands as critical determinants of eukaryotic gene regulation, one of our postdocs, Dr. Samuel Beck, started his own lab at the MDI Biological Laboratory in Maine. He aspires to study the roles of the lamin mutation in disrupting global gene localization and expression in progeria, an accelerated aging disease, as a model system for studying the process of aging itself.
